Issue:
User reads a document. When user closes the document and returns to the Inbox (or another folder), the document still displays as unread.
Causes:
1. Template has unread marks unchecked:
- The "Do not mark modified documents as unread" and the "Mark parent note on reply or forward" may be unchecked. Make sure both are checked.
If they are not checked, visit the template (e.g. mail14.ntf, mail12.ntf, mail10.ntf, ..., mail6.ntf, iNotes6) and set those checks on the template. Design refresh the mail files.
2. Corruption after power failure/OS crash:
- The unread marks can get out of sync. To fix:
- - Notes client --> workspace --> uncheck Stack Replica Icons --> watch icons split for this app --> while holding cntl-shift, click on both (or more) replica icons --> click Edit --> click Unread Marks --> click Exchange unread marks --> wait while the workstation (if local replica, too) and servers sync/merge the unread marks
- - After sync --> workspace --> check Stack Replica Icons
